The planning application has been validated by the Council who will now undertake a period of statutory consultation as part of their determination of the application. It is currently envisaged that following assessment by the Council, the application will be heard by the planning committee in early 2022.

Subject to approval of the application, we expect work on site, including delivery of the significant public benefits, to start in winter 2023/spring 2024.

Delivery of the wider public benefits, affordable housing, the nursery, primary and secondary school as well as provision for a medical practice, is only achievable with the grant of planning permission for the wider scheme including the new homes. 

We would encourage local residents and key stakeholders in support of the scheme benefits to write in support of the application. This can be done through the Council’s planning portal.
